Screw Rock 'n' Roll: Some snarky things I need to... →
screwrocknroll: Look, I’m pleased it’s happening too. But when it comes to food and gimmicky ideas, Sydneysiders can’t help but dumb out, and they’ve greeted this news with all kinds of dumbness. “Stop dreaming about those LA taco trucks…” says TimeOut. Sydney is “following” “trendy and affluent Santa… Every single thing Jonathan says here. EVERYTHING. We’ve joked about starting...

Walking down the street, get sexually harassed
So I kind of casually mentioned on twitter today that it’s a pretty common occurrence for some men to make comments at me when I’m walking down the street. The response was crazy. Heaps of women shared stories of how often it happens to them, and heaps of men were genuinely surprised it happens at all.  I blogged a little bit about it here. Now, I’m hoping to get other people...

I hate hugging (I know, I’m weird), but I could really do with a metaphorical hug right now. Not one of my better weeks.

"Call Me Doctor" - brought to you by Rachel Bilson...
fakeempire: Not buying Rachel Bilson as a doctor on HART OF DIXIE? Here’s what she has to say (or rather, rap) to you in response. In her words, “Haters get two words / Doogie. Howser.” Written and produced by Wilson Bethel, the video also features Scott Porter and was directed by Dugan O’Neal. Call Me Doctor with Rachel Bilson from Rachel Bilson  This is about 7 million kinds of awesome.

Just to clarify:
Nobody on Tumblr has been mean. Quite the opposite. Most people on Tumblr are TOTALLY AWESOME I would like to be able to write more honestly about my life and not worry about who from my “real” life is reading it, thus the new blog. I will happily share said URL with preeeetty much anyone on here. I just don’t want to make it public in case aforementioned other people see it. ...

Budget Fashionistas: Real women have/are/do/don't- →
douglasmartini: whatfreshhellisthis: Do us all a favour and shut the fuck up before you even try to finish that godawful sentence. I’d like to amend this statement to also include men. Real human beings are people that are alive and exist in the world. There is no handbook on how women and men should… Yes. This.

– Matt Bruenig, “Piracy really costs the economy nothing” Sums up what I’ve thought for awhile pretty well (via redrabbleroz) I’d venture there’s a third kind of pirate: those who would purchase if they could, but have to resort to pirating in order to get material in a timely way....
